Klitmøller Hideaway

Rental conditions for the rental of the holiday home Klitmøller Hideaway, Spanggårdsvej 85b, 7700 Klitmøller, Denmark. These terms outline the agreement between the landlord and tenant and are based on standard Danish holiday home rental conditions.

1. Rental confirmation & number of guests
The rental confirmation serves as a binding agreement between landlord and tenant.
The house may only be occupied by the number of persons stated in the confirmation.
Bed linen, towels, and tea towels must be brought by the tenant.

2. Payment terms
An upfront payment of 20% of the total rental price is due at the time of booking.
The remaining balance must be paid 90 days before arrival.
For bookings made less than 90 days before arrival, the full amount is due immediately.

3. Utility fee
A daily utility fee is charged and must be paid before the start of the stay.
It covers electricity, water, heating, and firewood for the wilderness bath.
Charging an electric vehicle is not included in the utility fee and will be charged separately according to consumption.

4. Pets
Pets are welcome at Klitmøller Hideaway if mentioned in the booking confirmation. However, we kindly ask guests to respect the following:

  • Pets are not allowed in the sofas or beds.
  • Pets should preferably not be left alone in the house.

5. Check-in & check-out

  • Check-in: from 16:00 on the day of arrival
  • Check-out: by 10:00 on the day of departure
    Unless otherwise agreed, keys are handed over on arrival and must be returned on departure.

6. Cleaning
The tenant must keep the house clean during the stay and leave it tidy on departure.
Mandatory final cleaning is carried out by the landlord and charged to the tenant.
Cleaning of kitchen appliances is not included in the final cleaning.
Smoking is not allowed inside the house.

7. Liability & damages
The tenant is responsible for the house and its contents during the rental period.
Any damage must be reported to the landlord immediately.
Unreported damage found after departure will be repaired at the tenant’s expense.
The landlord does not provide insurance for the tenant or personal belongings.

8. Complaints
Any complaints must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of arrival.
After this period, the tenant assumes responsibility for any issues.

9. Cancellation

  • Cancellation more than 90 days before arrival: the 20% upfront payment is non-refundable.
  • Cancellation less than 90 days before arrival: full rental amount is due.
    If the property is re-let for the cancelled period, the rental amount minus the upfront payment will be refunded.
    The tenant is responsible for arranging travel cancellation insurance.

10. Force majeure
The landlord may terminate the rental agreement without notice in case of force majeure or other circumstances beyond their control.

11. Legal jurisdiction
The rental agreement is governed by Danish law.
Any disputes are subject to the court of competent jurisdiction at the location of the property.
